  7. From Brian Condike, President, Granbury Writers’ Bloc

Announcing Granbury Writers’ Bloc 2019 Annual Summer Workshop on Saturday, June 8th, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Waterview Clubhouse in Granbury, 100 Watermark Blvd., 76048. The workshop is free to GWB members ($25 for non-members).

This year we have two fabulous speakers. In the morning session, we are welcoming back Amanda Arista, author of the Diary of an Urban Panther series, and instructor at Southern Methodist University’s Writers Path program. Many of you may recall Amanda spoke to us at our 2017 Workshop on ‘The Write Stuff - Pre-editing Tools.’ This year Amanda will regale us with her well-known presentation on Subplots.

In the afternoon, we welcome Dr. Keith Goodnight on his first visit to GWB. Keith is author to the sci-fi novel The Child, and is also a perennial instructor in SMU’s Writers Path program. Keith will speak to us on one of his favorite topics, Worldbuilding.

We hope you all can attend what will be another information-packed day on writing skills and techniques.

Attached is a poster in MSWord and pdf formats on the workshop, as well as an agenda of the day’s events. Please share the poster (or post your own announcement) on your social media platforms.

    Thanks for all your help.
